Home lifts specialist Stiltz Lifts launched in New Zealand in style in November by advertising in England’s Second Test cricket clash against the Black Caps.
The domestic lift manufacturer put itself in the sporting spotlight by promoting its brand on the pitch-side hoardings in the game at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch.
Stiltz Home Lifts co-founder Lachlan Faulkner said it helped raise the company’s profile and increase awareness about its products to both the UK and New Zealand viewing public and millions of television viewers internationally.
The match was broadcast around the world and finished in a dramatic draw as New Zealand claimed a 1-0 series victory over England. It was the first time the Kiwis had claimed a first series victory at home over England since 1983-84.
Mr. Faulkner said Stiltz Home Lifts decided to expand to New Zealand after successful launches in other English-speaking countries including the USA and Canada. He said: “We at Stiltz Home Lifts love cricket and both the England and New Zealand public do too so advertising at the Second Test was the perfect way to launch our brand in New Zealand.
“It is the first time Stiltz has advertised at such a major sporting event as a Test match but it was a fantastic opportunity for us to get our name out there to the England and New Zealand viewing public.
“As it turned out it was a nail-biting match as New Zealand came close to throwing it away but they held their nerve which meant TV viewers would have been glued to their TV sets I’m sure. We will certainly be looking to do more advertising at the cricket as it’s such great exposure for us.
“Stiltz Home Lifts has enjoyed an impressive number of sales in North America and adding New Zealand to our list of countries is another piece of the global puzzle completed.”
